Obiettivi formativi

The course aims at strengthening students' expressive and communicative competences in French (see the specific educational goals of the degree course in Modern Cultures and Literatures as to the linguistic and literary area).

Lessons will have a hands-on approach to stimulate active participation. Students are expected to acquire and apply intermediated or advanced linguistic and cultural competences as well as reinforce their learning skills through self-study activities.

– gli studenti che devono ottenere crediti di Lingua e Traduzione francese dovranno sostenere una prova scritta di lettorato che si suddivide in due parti: una comprensione orale ed esercizi di grammatica. Tale prova scritta è necessaria per sostenere l’esame di Lingua e traduzione;

- gli studenti che devono ottenere crediti di Lingua straniera: francese (LET 0457) – corso di laurea in filosofia  e corso di laurea in storia – dovranno sostenere una prova scritta, di livello B1 composta da tre parti: comprensione orale, grammatica e produzione scritta;

The lettorato exams are held three times a year: in June, September and January/February. It is possible to take the exam in all of these sessions and it is also possible to retake an exam if one is not satisfied with the mark, knowing, however, that only the most recent mark is considered valid. The lettorato exam mark is valid for 2 years.

- Lettorato for Lingua e traduzione francese:

This is a B1-level written exam and consists in listening and grammar and vocabulary exercises. Dictionary is not permitted. The lettorato mark will be out of 30 and will be averaged with the mark obtained from the LT/Lingua Inglese professors. In order to pass the exam, a minimum mark of 18/30 is required. The final mark will be registered by the LT/Lingua Francese professors.

-Lettorato for “Prova di Lingua straniera”  (LET 0457):

This is a B1-level written exam and consists in listening, grammar exercises and a 120-150-word composition.

-  For students of Asian and African studies who have already passed the lettorato exam for Lingua e Traduzione Francese prima annualità.

This is a B2 level exam. It involves grammar exercices and a writing composition. Students will receive a lettorato mark out of 30, and a minimum mark of 18/30 is required to pass the exam.

Note

https://elearning.unito.it/scienzeumanistiche/enrol/index.php?id=2814

All students interested in attending a lettorato must have completed the placement test (in October).

The sole purpose of the placement test is to determine the student's level of knowledge of English and place him/her in the most appropriate course. In no way does the placement test substitute the lettorato exam. You can take the test anytime, in October, from your own computer.

https://elearning.unito.it/scienzeumanistiche/enrol/index.php?id=2814

Students of Lingue e Culture dell'Asia e dell'Africa who need to take the 2nd year lettorato exam and undergraduate Philosophy students who need to take Lingua Straniera Secondo Livello  do not need to take the placement test.

Students who have attended Lingua e traduzione francese and the lettorato in triennale don’t have to pass a lettorato exam during the “magistrale” (except for Asia e Africa students).

Please note that it is incompatible to take both Lingua e Traduzione Francese and Lingua Straniera francese LET0457.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY PASSED THE LINGUA STRANIERA FRANCESE 1 AND 2  EXAM DURING THE “TRIENNALE” CAN’T OBTAIN OTHER LINGUA STRANIERA FRANCES CREDITS IN “MAGISTRALE”.
