Obiettivi formativi
L’insegnamento concorre alla realizzazione degli obiettivi formativi dell’area linguistico-letteraria del Corso di Studio, fornendo gli strumenti critici adatti all’analisi linguistica del testo letterario, di articoli di riviste scientifiche di argomento umanistico e di testi argomentativi; allo stesso tempo, si propone di far acquisire/migliorare le competenze metodologiche necessarie allo svolgimento di compiti universitari in francese. Proponendo un programma di livello base, destinato ai principianti e a coloro che devono seguire la prima annualità di lingua francese, esso consente di consolidare le conoscenze necessarie ad accedere alla seconda annualità (Lingua e traduzione francese B - livello avanzato).
The course contributes to the realisation of the educational objectives of the linguistic-literary area of the University Programme, providing the critical tools suitable for the linguistic analysis of literary texts, articles from humanistic journals and argumentative texts; at the same time, it aims to acquire/improve the methodological skills necessary to carry out university tasks in French. The program is designed for beginners and for those who have to follow the first year of French, and allows them to consolidate the knowledge necessary to access the second year (French Language and Translation B - advanced level).

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi
Al termine dell’insegnamento, gli studenti dovranno dimostrare di:
- saper analizzare il lessico di un testo letterario dal punto di vista semantico e morfologico;
- possedere una conoscenza teorica e pratica dei dizionari francesi;
- saper identificare le principali tipologie di sequenze testuali ed esaminarne criticamente le caratteristiche linguistiche, stilistiche e retoriche;
- dimostrare di aver acquisito le competenze procedurali richieste dalla metodologia universitaria in lingua francese: prendere appunti, sintetizzare una o più tematiche, definire una problematica e sostenere un’argomentazione, presentare elaborati in forma orale e scritta;
- esporre i contenuti dell’insegnamento in un francese corretto;
- aver sviluppato delle soft skill nell’area del compito (puntualità nella consegna delle attività e rispetto dei tempi), nell’area del sé (valorizzazione delle capacità personali) e nell’area delle relazioni interpersonali (gestione di lavori di gruppo).
At the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they:
- know how to analyse the lexicon of a literary text from a semantic and morphological point of view;
- have a theoretical and practical knowledge of French dictionaries;
- be able to identify the main types of textual sequences and critically examine their linguistic, stylistic and rhetorical characteristics;
- demonstrate that they have acquired the procedural skills required by the university methodology in French: taking notes, summarising one or more topics, defining a problem and supporting an argument, presenting papers in oral and written form;
- present teaching contents in correct French;
- have developed soft skills in the area of the task (punctuality in the delivery of activities and respect for time), in the area of the self (enhancement of personal skills) and in the area of interpersonal relationships (management of group work).

Modalità di insegnamento
L’insegnamento assumerà la forma di un ambiente di apprendimento integrato: il contenuto delle lezioni in presenza , trasmesse in sincrono su Webex, sarà reso disponibile sulla piattaforma Moodle sotto forma di power points, unitamente a materiale didattico integrativo e esercitazioni.
Le modalità di svolgimento dell’attività didattica potranno subire variazioni in base alle limitazioni imposte dalla crisi sanitaria in corso. In ogni caso è assicurata la modalità a distanza per tutto l'anno accademico. Si raccomanda di iscriversi al corso e di consultare gli avvisi della pagina dell'insegnamento per eventuali aggiornamenti.
The course will take the form of an integrated learning environment: the content of the lectures, transmitted synchronously on Webex, will be made available on the Moodle platform (power points) with additional materials and exercises.
The way in which the teaching activities will be carried out may vary according to the restrictions imposed by the current health crisis. In any case, the distance mode is assured for the entire academic year. Students are encouraged to register for the course and to consult the notices on the teaching page for any updates.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
L’apprendimento è monitorato attraverso la partecipazione regolare ad attività in presenza e sulla piattaforma Moodle. L’acquisizione degli obiettivi è verificata attraverso quattro prove in itinere, di cui tre scritte e una orale: la prima dopo 36 ore di lezione; la seconda dopo 54 ore di lezione; la terza dopo 72 ore di lezione; la quarta, orale, in corrispondenza di un appello a scelta del candidato. La prova orale consiste nella presentazione di un exposé finalizzato a mettere in evidenza le peculiarità lessicali di una delle opere letterarie indicate in bibliografia.
Chi non potesse partecipare alle esercitazioni e svolgere gli esoneri studierà il manuale di A. Lehman e F. Martin-Berthet, leggerà una delle opere letterarie indicate in bibliografia e sosterrà una prova scritta e orale di analisi del testo, strutturata come segue:
- Scritto: tre domande in cui sarà chiesto di analizzare tre aspetti di un brano esplicativo o argomentativo.
- Orale: due domande sulle nozioni teoriche esposte nel manuale e una domanda in cui sarà chiesto di analizzare dal punto di vista stilistico e lessicale un estratto dell’opera letteraria scelta.
Per tutte le studentesse e gli studenti il voto finale risulterà dalla media dei voti ottenuti con le varie prove previste per il superamento dell’esame e con la prova di lettorato, obbligatoria.
Learning is monitored through regular participation in in-person activities and on the Moodle platform.The acquisition of the objectives is verified through four ongoing tests, three of which are written and one oral: the first after 36 hours of lessons; the second after 54 hours of lessons; the third after 72 hours of lessons; the fourth, oral, during an exam session chosen by the candidate. The oral exam consists in the presentation of an exposé aimed at highlighting the lexical peculiarities of one of the literary works indicated in bibliography.
Those who are unable to participate in the exercises and carry out the ongoing tests will study the manual of A. Lehman and F. Martin-Berthet, read one of the literary works indicated in bibliography and take a written and oral test of text analysis, structured as follows:
- Written: three questions focused on the analysis of three aspects of an explicative or argumentative passage.
- Oral: two questions on the theoretical notions outlined in the textbook and one question focused on the stylistic and lexical analysys of a passage taken from the chosen literary work.
For all students, the final grade will be calculated as the average of the grades obtained in the various tests required to pass the exam and the "lettorato" test.

Attività di supporto
Il lettorato, tenuto da una docente madrelingua, permette di acquisire o rafforzare le conoscenze linguistiche di base. La frequenza non è obbligatoria, ma caldamente consigliata soprattutto ai principianti.

La prova di lettorato consiste in una prova di ascolto e un test di grammatica, corrispondenti al livello B1 del quadro di riferimento europeo.
È previsto anche un servizio di tutoraggio svolto da uno/a studente/essa che accompagnerà i/le discenti nella preparazione dei contenuti del corso. Informazioni a proposito verranno date in itinere dalle docenti.
Un laboratorio di espressione orale, rivolto alle studentesse e agli studenti che desiderano migliorare la loro espressione orale in francese, inizierà nel mese di ottobre e consentirà di acquisire 3 cfu riconoscibili come Attività laboratoriali.
Si esploreranno argomenti di fonetica (vocalismo e consonantismo) e prosodia con lo scopo di migliorare le abilità di pronuncia.
Il laboratorio, tenuto dalla prof.ssa Amatuzzi, comporterà 9 incontri di 2 ore.
I primi incontri saranno martedi 26 e mercoledi 27 ottobre, dalle ore 10 alle 12, in aula 21, a Palazzo Nuovo.

The exam consists of a listening test and a grammar test, corresponding to level B1 of the European reference framework.
In addition, there will also be a tutorship held by a senior student who will accompany the students in preparing the contents of the course. The students are warmly encouraged to participate in the tutorship, in order to get access to information and materials (texts, slides, etc.) distributed during the course
An oral expression workshop, aimed at students who wish to improve their oral expression in French, will begin in October and will allow them to acquire 3 cfu that will be acknowledged as Laboratory Activities.
Topics in phonetics (vocalism and consonantism) and prosody will be explored with the aim of improving pronunciation skills.
The workshop, held by Prof. Amatuzzi, will consist of 9 meetings of 2 hours.

L’insegnamento (72 ore) propone lezioni teoriche (36 ore circa) e attività seminariali (36 ore circa).
Dal punto di vista teorico, nella prima parte del corso sarà fornita un’introduzione alla lessicologia e alla lessicografia: la presentazione del lessico dal punto di vista semantico e morfologico sarà accompagnata dallo studio dei dizionari francesi e da esercitazioni su alcuni estratti delle opere letterarie segnalate in bibliografia. Nella seconda parte del corso, si analizzeranno in particolare le caratteristiche lessicali, sintattiche e retoriche di testi di tipo argomentativo ed esplicativo.
Per quanto riguarda le attività seminariali, si eserciteranno le abilità linguistiche e procedurali necessarie allo svolgimento di compiti in francese accademico e alla comprensione, analisi e produzione di testi argomentativi ed esplicativi; in particolare, saranno proposte attività volte a migliorare la capacità di comprendere testi diffusi in ambito universitario, prendere appunti, realizzare attività di sintesi, presentare exposés, produrre brevi testi argomentativi ed esplicativi.
The course (72 hours) offers theoretical lectures (about 36 hours) and seminar activities (about 36 hours).
From the theoretical point of view, in the first part of the course an introduction to lexicology and lexicography will be provided: the presentation of the lexicon from a semantic and morphological point of view will be accompanied by the study of French dictionaries and by exercises on some excerpts of literary works listed in bibliography. In the second part of the course, the lexical, syntactic and rhetorical characteristics of argumentative and explicative texts will be analysed.
As far as seminar activities are concerned, students will practice the linguistic and procedural skills necessary to carry out tasks in academic French and to understand, analyse and produce argumentative and explicative texts; in particular, activities will be proposed to improve the ability to understand texts used in universities, take notes, carry out synthesis activities, present exposés, produce short argumentative and explicative texts.Testi consigliati e bibliografia
