- È richiesta una conoscenza di base del francese, che può essere raggiunta e rafforzata anche seguendo il corso di lettorato a frequenza non obbligatoria (vedi attività di supporto).
La prova di lettorato deve comunque essere superata da tutti gli studenti, prima o dopo aver sostenuto l’esame relativo a questo insegnamento di lingua e traduzione francese per ottenere i crediti.
Students need to have a basic level of French , which can also be obtained by following the Lettorato course, with non-compulsory attendance (see supporting activities).

Obiettivi formativi
Nel quadro degli obiettivi formativi del CdS, l'insegnamento, che si svolge essenzialmente in lingua francese, si propone di introdurre gli studenti e le studentesse allo studio delle principali caratteristiche delle varietà di francese parlate fuori di Francia (Europa, Canada, Antille, Africa, Asia, Oceania) e anche di sensibilizzare gli studenti ai problemi relativi alla traduzione di testi francofoni in cui il rapporto tra lingua e identità culturale è particolarmente delicato
The course intends to investigate the main characteristics of French varieties used outside France (Europe, Canada, Antilles, Asia and Oceania) and deal with the questions of translating Francophone texts, in which the relation between language and cultural identity is particularly significant.

Al termine dell'insegnamento gli studenti e le studentesse dovranno
- conoscere la distribuzione geografica del francese nel mondo,
- essere in grado di identificare le principali caratteristiche del francese 'fuori di Francia' (anche analizzando alcuni testi) ,
- saper discutere e valutare le problematiche relative alla traduzione in italiano di testi francofoni, per quanto riguarda gli aspetti lessicali, morfosintattici e culturali.
- migliorare capacità di parlare in pubblico in maniera organizzata attraverso gli exposés
By the end of the course, students will be expected to
- know the geographical distribution of French in the world
- be able to identify the main characteristics of French 'outside of France' (also by analyzing some texts)
- be able to discuss and evaluate the problems related to the translation of Francophone texts into Italian, with regard to lexical, morphosyntactic and cultural aspects.

Programma
Dopo aver presentato il concetto di francofonia da un punto di vista storico, politico e linguistico, ci si soffermerà sullo studio delle principali caratteristiche delle varietà di francese diffuse fuori di Francia (Europa, Canada, Antille, Africa, Asia, Oceania).
Per ogni paese si esamineranno espressioni letterarie e artistiche (canzoni, danze, opere cinematografiche e teatrali) significative. Verranno in particolare studiati testi letterari di autori francofoni, tra cui Assia Djebar, Alain Mabanckou, Scolastique Mukasonga, Amin Maalouf, Josephine Bacon, Ananda Devi.
After the introduction of the notion of Francophony from a historical, political and linguistic perspective, the course will deal with the main features of French varieties outside France (Europa, Canada, Antille, Africa, Asia, Oceania).
For each country, we will examine noteworthy literary and artistic genres (songs, dances, films, plays).
In particular, literary texts by French-speaking authors including Assia Djebar, Alain Mabanckou, Scolastique Mukasonga, Amin Maalouf, Josephine Bacon, Ananda Devi. will be studied,- Oggetto:
Modalità di insegnamento
Lezioni della durata di 36 ore complessive (6 CFU), che si svolgono in aula prevalentemente in lingua francese con l’ausilio di proiezioni e di letture di testi. Verrà utilizzata costantemente la piattaforma moodle, anche per attività ed esercizi.
La frequenza non è obbligatoria, ma è vivamente consigliata.
This is a 36 hours cours(6 CFU), mainly taught in French, in classroom with the aid of projections and readings from texts.
The moodle platform will be used constantly, also for activities and exercises.Attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly recommended.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Le competenze acquisite saranno verificate attraverso un colloquio orale in francese (3/4 domande) e con exposés (anche in itinere) su argomenti concordati.
E' richiesto anche il superamento della prova di lettorato
La preparazione sarà considerata adeguata (valutazione espressa in trentesimi), se lo studente o la studentessa dimostrerà la padronanza dei concetti di base riguardo al fenomeno della variazione linguistica per la lingua francese, esponendoli con chiarezza, ricorrendo alla terminologia specifica necessaria e fornendo esempi pertinenti e se saprà approfondire in modo originale un aspetto linguistico o artistico-culturale del fenomeno studiato, stabilendo autonomamente rapporti e collegamenti.
La valutazione finale si otterrà dalla somma dei punteggi ottenuti nelle valutazioni parziali o dal voto ottenuto all'esame. Questa valutazione farà poi media con il voto della prova di lettorato, obbligatoria per tutti gli studenti e le studentesse, indipendentemente dal loro livello di conoscenza iniziale del francese.
Competences will be assessed through an oral exam in French and with some presentations (exposés) on specific topics.
Students pass the exam (mark out of 30) if they can explain the notions dealt with during the course clearly, using an appropriate terminology and with relevant examples; if they will be able to focus on a linguistic or cultural-artistic aspect of the Francophone countries examined, autonomously identifying relations and connections.
The final evaluation will be obtained from the sum of the scores obtained in the partial evaluations or from the grade obtained in the exam. This grade will then be averaged with the grade of the lettorato test, which is compulsory for all students, regardless of their level of initial knowledge of French.

Attività di supporto
1- ll lettorato, tenuto da una docente madrelingua, permette di acquisire o perfezionare le competenze linguistiche di base; la frequenza, non obbligatoria, è caldamente consigliata soprattutto ai principianti. Il corso ha durata annuale, con inizio a ottobre; un test di livello, che si svolge dopo la chiusura delle iscrizioni, permette di formare classi omogenee.

La prova di lettorato consiste in una prova di ascolto ed un test di grammatica, corrispondenti al livello B1 del quadro di riferimento europeo.
Il superamento della prova di lettorato è obbligatorio per tutti ma l'esame riguardante il modulo può essere sostenuto prima o dopo il lettorato.
2 - Un laboratorio di espressione orale in lingua francese (18 ore, 2 ore a settimana), tenuto dalle prof.ssa Antonella Amatuzzi sarà attivato nel primo semestre per tutti coloro che necessitano di rafforzare le abilità di base. Il laboratorio prevedrà attività settimanali soggette a una valutazione e potrà sostituire una parte delle prove d'esame.
3 -È previsto anche un servizio di tutoraggio svolto da uno/a studente/essa che accompagnerà i/le discenti nella preparazione dei contenuti del corso. Informazioni a proposito verranno date in itinere dalla docente.
1 -The annual French language course ("lettorato"), taught by a mother tongue teacher, allows students to acquire or improve their basic language skills. Attendance is not compulsory but it is highly recommended, especially for beginners. The course lasts one year, starting in October; a placement test, will take place at the beginning of Academic year to have homogeneous classes.

The lettorato test consists of a listening test and a grammar test, corresponding to level B1 of the European reference framework.Passing the lettorato test is compulsory for all students but the exam concerning this course can be taken before or after the lettorato test.2 -A workshop on oral expression in French (18 hours, 2 hours per week), held by Prof. Antonella Amatuzzi will be activated in the first semester for all those who need to strengthen their basic skills in oral expression. The laboratory will include weekly activities subject to an evaluation and may replace part of the final exams.
3 - In addition, there will also be a tutorship held by a senior student who will accompany the students in preparing the contents of the course. The students are warmly encouraged to participate in the tutorship, in order to get access to information and materials (texts, slides, etc.) distributed during the teaching
